My "Belfast at Night" photography workshop, limited to just 4 participants, begins with a relaxing meet-up at a local café.
Enjoy a complimentary hot drink as we discuss the evening's shoot, share inspiration, and cover essential techniques for capturing stunning night photography.
Then, we'll venture out into the city, where you'll master the art of cityscape photography during the magical Blue Hour and into the night.
Receive expert guidance on long exposure techniques, capturing the mesmerising trails of light, and composing stunning night shots that will leave your viewers breathless.
Return home with a portfolio of images you'll be proud to share and the confidence to photograph any city under the cloak of night.

What you will learn on this Belfast at Night Photography Workshop
During this workshop, we will look at the step to step process of creating stunning cityscape photographs during sunset, Blue Hour and into the evening.
We will be looking at different composition techniques, working in manual mode, using long exposure techniques and working with filters.
Paul has several sets of K&F Concept filter kits that you can borrow for the day (if required).
Everything explained in easy to understand terms - Guaranteed Jargon free!
Places are limited to 4 photographers to ensure everyone gets plenty of opportunity for 1-2-1 help to capture stunning images for their portfolio.
Is this the right photography workshop for me?
Experience Required
Although it is not a necessity, to get the most from this photography workshop you should have previously attended my Get More from Your Camera photography course – OR – be familiar and confident with the use of Aperture Priority with Exposure Compensation, Manual Exposure mode and understand ISO.
What Equipment do I need?
This photography workshop is suitable for those with DSLR or Compact System Cameras.
A sturdy tripod is ESSENTIAL for this workshop.
A wide-angle zoom lens would be useful although a standard “kit zoom” will be suitable.
Polarising filters and ND filters are useful, although not essential and Paul has a few available to borrow for the day if required.
You will need to dress in suitable clothing for an outdoor photoshoot at night – it could get cold!!
PLEASE NOTE: There is a small amount of walking during this workshop so a reasonable level of fitness is required.
